What You'll Learn

Throughout your apprenticeship, you will gain vital knowledge, skills, and behaviours (KSBs) that lay the groundwork for a thriving career in adult care. This includes:

  • Promoting health, safety, and well-being within care settings
  • Supporting individuals with daily living and personal care needs
  • Mastering effective communication to build trust and rapport
  • Safeguarding and protecting vulnerable individuals in your care

Additionally, you'll complete:

Once you successfully complete your Level 2 apprenticeship, you will have opportunities for advancement, including:

  • Transitioning to the Level 3 Lead Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship
  • Exploring various roles such as Support Worker, Care Assistant, or Personal Care Worker With further training and experience, you may even be stepping into senior, specialised, or leadership roles within health and social care.

Funding and Support

Levy-Paying Employers: You can fully utilise your Apprenticeship Levy contributions to cover the costs of your apprenticeship training.

Non-Levy Employers: The government covers 95% of training costs, so you'll only need to contribute 5%. Plus, there's full funding available for learners aged 16 to 21.
