What You'll Learn

This apprenticeship is designed to equip you with advanced knowledge and leadership capabilities essential for senior care positions. You’ll master how to:

Progression Opportunities

You’ll also be well-prepared to advance to the Level 5 Leader in Adult Care Apprenticeship, further supporting your journey into higher management and leadership roles.

Funding and Support

Your employer can utilise their Apprenticeship Levy to cover your training in full.

Non-Levy Employers:

The government subsidises 95% of training costs, requiring only a 5% employer contribution. Full funding is available for learners aged 16–21.

Duration & Delivery
  • Typical Duration: 18–20 months Delivery Model: A flexible blended learning approach, which includes:

    - Practical learning in your workplace

    - Engaging online sessions

    - In-person support with your assessor

    This structure is designed to seamlessly fit around your work commitments, allowing you to progress without interruption. You’ll not only benefit from ongoing support from seasoned tutors and a dedicated skills coach, but also engage in regular progress reviews and access digital learning resources to keep you on track.
Assessment
  • At the conclusion of your apprenticeship, you'll undertake an End Point Assessment (EPA) to showcase your leadership capabilities and professional development. This will typically involve:

    - An observation of your practice in the workplace

    - A professional discussion centred on your portfolio

    - A situational judgement test to evaluate your knowledge and decision-making skills
